Title: The role of translation in the (de)stigmatization of mental health: the example of Jerold J. Kreisman and Hal Straus' I Hate You—Don't Leave Me, Understanding the Borderline Personality
Abstract: This thesis focuses on the role of translation in the possible destigmatization of mental health, more specifically borderline personality disorder (BPD). To do so, Jerold J. Kreisman and Hal Straus' book I Hate You—Don't Leave Me, Understanding the Borderline Personality was chosen. This thesis answers the following questions: what is BPD? How has it been represented and stigmatized? How can translation help (de)stigmatize a text on mental health? Can a translator be personally involved in their work?

Title: Magic Realism and Migration in Mohsin Hamid's Exit West
Abstract: This work examines how Mohsin Hamid makes Exit West a subversive novel through its narrative strategy and utopian vision of global mobility, while critically questioning the implications of the Global North. In this regard, I will explore how empathy and change of perspective are essential regarding the acceptance of the foreign "Other".
