      <description>Title: Generative Artificial Intelligence and Film Production: A Media Educational Approach
Abstract: The aim of this work is to discuss the use of generative AI in film production, with a particular focus on scriptwriting. The first research question of this dissertation is: Can AI generate scripts without reproducing biases and stereotypes? To answer this question I will analyze three films whose scripts were generated by AI. The second research question deals with media education, and is therefore: Should media education tackle AI-generated films? This will be answered following a specific path: first analyzing how media education has previously addressed film and AI, then reflecting on the ways AI-generated films could be integrated in the field and how media educators should adapt the it to the changes posed by the use of GenAI in film production. Finally, I will discuss how media education can help in tackling the concern of potential AI bias in film.</description>

Abstract: This master's thesis explores whether memes, as cultural and political objects, can develop media literacy competencies within the CSEM framework for media education. The theoretical section defines memes and describes their characteristics, as well as the cultures of convergence, participation, sharing, and remix in which they circulate. The section also highlights the political dimension of memes, reviews two models for meme analysis, and outlines the competencies identified in the CSEM framework. Based on this foundation, the thesis reviews existing meme-based educational activities in English- and French-speaking contexts and proposes new activities inspired by these practices that align with the CSEM competencies. The practical section presents a creative workshop designed for teenagers and informed by a preliminary questionnaire regarding their knowledge of memes. It describes and evaluates the workshop activities, reflecting on their effectiveness and potential improvements. The results demonstrate that memes can serve as valuable tools for developing media literacy competencies. However, the workshop could be conducted more times to address the issue more effectively.</description>

Abstract: The aim of this master thesis is to answer the main question: can podcasts be a tool for media literacy? To answer this question, this thesis provides a theoretical part that intends to explain various terms linked to media literacy and media education. In this part, there are also the limits and possibilities of podcasts in (media) education. It also provides a critical analysis of five different podcasts, explaining their possible uses or limits in media literacy classes. To support this thesis, an audio podcast was created, with the aim of proving its use during media literacy lessons.</description>

Abstract: This master's thesis deals with the topic of media education and media literacy within primary schools of the German-speaking Community of Belgium. It begins with a brief historical overview of the development of media education over the past years. This is followed by a discussion of the role and importance of implementing media literacy in primary schools. It furthermore outlines the current guidelines in regard to media literacy issued by the authorities of the German-speaking Community. Building on this, the thesis proposes an adapted and updated version the these guidelines, to better meet today's needs.</description>
