Abstract
[en] Nowadays, the mutual fund industry has taken more and more importance in the financial market. Ireland, Luxembourg and United Kingdom have become the three main countries active in this market in terms of assets under management in Europe. However, although the market has grown significantly, there are still many differences in the levels of cost between the various actors. This paper aims to identify the levels of the common costs, that is to say the total expense ratio, the management fees and the administrative fees, incurred by the mutual funds in 2015. Then this paper is going to look for differences in the fees between these three major countries, different assets and investment areas, and between different types of investors.
