Abstract

[en] Due to the financial crisis of 2009, crowdfunding has become the new alternative to finance entrepreneurial projects. As this new way of funding is quite recent, it's sometimes difficult for entrepreneurs to know how to succeed in it.
Launching a crowdfunding campaign takes plenty of time and requires rigorous work from the entrepreneurs. They have to follow numerous steps in order to get the best chances to reach their goal. After launching their campaign, project leaders have to promote it to attract investors on it. And that's the hardest part of the job!
In the first part, I started by defining what exactly crowdfunding is. Then, I focused on the different actors of this new method to raise funds and I identified their role in this business. After that I tried to redraw the way the entrepreneurs take to launch their crowdfunding campaign. And I finally distinguished the tools they use to promote and communicate about their project in order to raise funds from the crowd.
In the second part of my thesis, I met different actors of crowdfunding to better understand their experience. Throughout this second part, I tried to identify the best practices to use during the launch and the promotion of a crowdfunding campaign. Therefore I conducted a qualitative research in order to answer to the following question: "What are the best practises to launch and promote a crowdfunding campaign?"
