Abstract
[en] The use of combinatorial auctions for complex resource allocation has been increasingly popular in recent years. Facing the diversity of combinatorial auction types due to selecting the suitable auction model becomes a big challenge for sellers. In order to give an overview for sellers, this thesis studies and provides a comparison of two package auction mechanisms, Vickrey-Clarke-Groves auction and iBundle(2) auction.
In this study, I gathered the basic theory of combinatorial auction and mechanism of two auction models mentioned above. By re-establishing the mathematical model and simulating the operating mechanism of these auctions, I found out meaningful comparative results which would help sellers to select better auction model.
