Abstract

[en] Since the release on the market on August 22nd, 2016 of Android 7.0 called « Android Nougat », it has been possible for the user to get raw measurements from a smartphone. Their access is made available thanks to an API called android.location. The positioning computed by a smartphone that acts like a black box can henceforth be computed by users in post processing. The aim of this study is to analyze the quality of data from smartphones by comparing them to the ones stemming from a geodetic receiver owned by the « Géodésie et GNSS » service of the geomatics unit of the University of Liège. The second part of this study consists in the computation of the positions of a smartphone thanks to two softwares called RTKLib and SMARTPOS. Different positioning modes have also been used to compute the positions in order to improve the precision of positioning.
