Abstract
[en] Following the digital revolution, technology has shaken up the codes of some traditional professions. After the banking world, technology and new business models are attacking the insurance sector. It is therefore important for the actors in this sector to consider the threats but also the opportunities that InsurTechs bring to the market. Because of this digitalisation of insurance, it is now easier for the insured to subscribe to insurance without using a broker. This is the threat that Patrimoine Consult S.A., which operates on the Belgian-Luxembourgish market, faces.
The objective of the project presented in this book is to help the digital transformation of the life insurance and investment broker through the implementation of new tools. These tools make it possible to offer new services, mainly digital, to the (new) clients of Patrimoine Consult so that the company can avoid being swallowed up by InsurTechs. These new solutions bring real added value to the services offered in a niche market in order to attract more and more demanding customers with an increasing interest in using digital channels. This diversification of services is not only essential for the company to thrive but also to show the usefulness of brokers against new 100% digital players and against competitors offering standardised products and services.
