Abstract
[fr] In this study, mass balances are established on the melting part of the glass furnaces at the Battice plant of 3B-the-fibreglass company. A data validation and reconciliation was then initiated and enabled the balances to be closed. This made it possible to quantify certain important flows and variables that were not/could not be measured, such as the glass flow at the melter outlet or the flow of air infiltration into the furnace.
