Abstract
[en] Nowadays, the question of organ donation and therefore that of transplantation, is very present in our society. The act of transplantation is a technical feat that has revolutionized the medical field for many years. Liver transplantation is too often linked to alcoholism with cirrhosis of the liver, drug addiction or sexually transmitted diseases. However, through this brief and the testimonies of six people, it will be easy to understand that this is not the only cause bringing to liver failure. The transplant experience marks the person concerned forever, but also involves those around them.
The collection of these six stories will focus as much on the pre-transplant period as on the post-transplant period with its consequences and mandatory rehabilitations. We will also be interested in the different psychic processes at play throughout this transplant experience.
The analysis of the different meetings made it possible to highlight the uniqueness of the transplant experience. However, we were able to observe certain similarities between each person we met, in particular the good integration of the graft, both mentally and physically. These individual analyzes made it possible to understand what representations the person had of their graft. They also made it possible to see what psychological conflict went through the transplant recipients but also to know how the latter experience the notion of gift and debt vis-à-vis the donor.
