Résumé
[en] This thesis is a didactic approach to understand how a BLDC motor works and how to handle it. The work is divided into two parts. The first part is a theoretical part where the functioning of electric motors and more particularly of BLDC motors is explained. Then, the two algorithms of motor control for BLDC are presented, the six-step and the field-oriented control (FOC).
The second part is composed of the analysis of the motor control library from STMicroelectronics as well as some experiments with two different motors. During the analysis of the library, the functions necessary for the motor control and the control loops are discussed. To illustrate the most important functions or control loops, several diagrams have been made. At the time of the experiments, one put in practice various functions seen earlier. It was noticed that the difference between BLDC motors and permanent magnet synchronous motors is not really made in practice.
