Abstract
[en] Briefly speaking, LISP (Locator/Identifier Separation Protocol) is a network architecture and set of protocols that is intended to separates the "where" (location) and the "who" (identity) roles of an IP address. For that purpose, LISP follows a network-based map-and-encapsulate scheme. The end goal of LISP is to reduce the size of the BGP routing tables and BGP churn thanks to the aforementioned separation. However, LISP can also be used for other purposes such as traffic engineering, virtual machines mobility, ... The goal of this Master Thesis is to analyse requirements for a LISP simulator (for experiments in networking labs) and, ultimately, to devise a simulator for LISP.
