Abstract

[en] Exhibiting intangible cultural heritage is a great challenge for museums that deal with society. Nostalgic reconstructions come to mind for those who have been to this type of museum.

This master thesis offers a vision of the place of intangible cultural heritage today in a sample of five reference exhibitions from Walloon museums. What does its presence contribute to the evolution of their museum approaches?

These exhibitions are those of the Musée de la Vie Wallonne in Liege, the Musée de Folklore vie Frontalière in Mouscron, the Musée Gaumais in Virton, the Piconrue - Musée de la Grande Ardenne in Bastogne and the Maison des Géants in Ath.
