Abstract

[en] The research aimed at proving that using a message broker is better than having the client
act as a proxy for the services with the use of JWT's. Message brokers RabbitMQ and Acache Kafka,
have been discussed
and RabbitMQ has been chosen for its versatility and wider variety of protocols.

CIA has been discussed since the application involves medical data.
Confidentiality and Integrity of the application are ensured by HTTPS and network isolation of the
microservices. Availability has been studied by providing a proof of concept. The application has
been load tested against both before and
after the changes. The results are that although the server replies faster, unavailability happens
sooner for some requests.
