Mémoire de fin d'études :" Dans quelle mesure la mise en œuvre du Building Information Modeling (BIM) influence-t-elle le mode de travail et l'efficacité des entreprises de transformation du bois dans les Cantons de l'Est ?".

Abstract

Ce travail a pour objectif d'analyser comment le Building Information Modeling (un modèle sémantique de données) est implémenté au sein des entreprises de transformation du bois de la Communauté germanophone en Belgique. Plus précisément, j’examinerai de manière approfondie les différents niveaux d'utilisation du BIM par les entreprises. D'une part, j’ai rédigé un questionnaire à destination des entreprises qui n’utilisent pas le BIM afin de comprendre leurs raisons. D'autre part, j’ai réalisé des entretiens avec quatre entreprises qui ont dit qu’ils utilisent le BIM afin de déterminer dans quelle mesure le BIM est intégré dans leur entreprise. Je me suis également intéressée à la manière dont l'implémentation du BIM a influencé les méthodes de travail existantes des différents départements. En outre, ce travail permettra d’analyser la manière dont les entreprises envisagent de se développer à l'avenir en ce qui concerne l'implémentation du BIM. Au travers de ce travail, nous avons découvert que le terme BIM est encore souvent mal compris. L’utilisation par les entreprises se limite en réalité à un simple programme 3D, sans fournir des informations relatives aux éléments de construction et sans bénéficier des autres fonctions du BIM comme la planification du transport, l’estimation des coûts, etc. Outre ce résultat, une entreprise s'est toutefois distinguée comme précurseur parmi les entreprises étudiées, dont la manière de travailler ne serait plus possible sans le BIM.

The purpose of this work is to analyse how BIM is implemented in wood processing companies in the German-speaking Community of Belgium. More specifically, the different levels of BIM use by companies will be examined in depth. Firstly, a questionnaire was drawn up for companies not using BIM to understand their reasons for not doing so. Secondly, interviews were conducted with four companies that said they were using BIM. These interviews enabled us to determine the extent to which BIM has been integrated into their companies. We also looked at how the implementation of BIM has influenced the existing working methods of the various departments. In addition, we will look at how companies plan to develop in the future with regard to the implementation of BIM. We found that the term BIM is still often misunderstood. In reality, companies' use is limited to a simple 3D programme, without providing information relating to the construction elements and without benefiting from the other functions of BIM, such as transport planning, cost estimates, etc. In addition to this result, however, one company stood out as a forerunner among the companies studied, whose way of working would no longer be possible without BIM.

Ziel dieser Arbeit ist es, zu analysieren, wie BIM in holzverarbeitenden Betrieben in der Deutschsprachigen Gemeinschaft in Belgien implementiert wird. Genauer gesagt werde ich mich eingehend mit den verschiedenen Ebenen der Nutzung von BIM durch die Unternehmen befassen. Einerseits verfasste ich einen Fragebogen für Unternehmen, die BIM nicht einsetzen, um ihre Gründe nachvollziehen zu können. Andererseits führte ich Interviews mit vier Unternehmen, die angaben, BIM zu nutzen, um herauszufinden, inwieweit BIM in ihrem Unternehmen integriert ist. Ich habe mich auch dafür interessiert, wie die Implementierung von BIM die bestehenden Arbeitsmethoden der verschiedenen Abteilungen beeinflusst hat. Darüber hinaus wird diese Arbeit eine Analyse darüber ermöglichen, wie sich die Unternehmen in Zukunft hinsichtlich der Implementierung von BIM weiterentwickeln wollen. Durch diese Arbeit haben wir festgestellt, dass der Begriff BIM häufig noch missverstanden wird. Die Nutzung durch die Unternehmen beschränkt sich in Wirklichkeit auf ein einfaches 3D-Programm, ohne Informationen über die Bauelemente zu liefern und ohne von den anderen Funktionen von BIM wie Transportplanung, Kostenschätzung usw. zu profitieren. Neben diesem Ergebnis zeichnete sich jedoch ein Unternehmen als Vorreiter unter den untersuchten Unternehmen aus, dessen Arbeitsweise ohne BIM nicht mehr möglich wäre.
