Abstract
[de] In dieser Arbeit wird untersucht, wie Japan in 'Die Kieferninseln' von Marion Poschmann und in 'Terrain vague' aus 'Am Weltenrand sitzen die Menschen und lachen' von Philipp Weiss dargestellt wird. Dazu wird auch darauf eingegangen, wie Japan als Ort beschrieben und wahrgenommen wird und welche Rolle das Land bei Krisenerfahrungen spielt. Auch Vorurteile und Vorstellungen seitens der verschiedenen Figuren werden thematisiert. Dabei werden unter anderem Parallelen zu exotistischen Wunschvorstellungen und Projektionen gezogen.
