Abstract
[en] A Thousand Ships by Natalie Haynes and The Women of Troy by Pat Barker are both feminist retellings of the Trojan War. Through a comparative analysis, this paper explores how both novels give back voices to female characters who are often marginalized in Homer's epics. Both Haynes and Barker challenge the heroic depiction of war in Greek mythology.
