Résumé
[en] At the time of the study, under the influence of the El Niño phenomenon, the Santo Tomás wetland was facing one of the fiercest periods of draught in decades. Hydrological structures built in the 1997 further exacerbated this situation, causing conflicts between different users of the wetland. The presence of a group of displaced persons close by the wetland further complicated the question. The goal of this research was to study the different viewpoints of a number of stakeholders on all these issues and on the future of the Santo Tomás wetland, using the CATWOE method developed by Peter Checkland. In order to gain a deeper understanding in the actors viewpoints, we then employed two contrasting views on nature described by Jean-Baptiste Narcy in his case on the Oise Valley.
