Abstract

[en] Dynamic calibration of pressure transducers is an ongoing research topic and aims at correcting non-ideal responses measured during a dynamic pressure transient. Numerous approaches have been developed in the literature, each one corresponding to a specific application. The thesis starts with an overview of some of the most popular developed methods. Then, two methods are presented in this document: the explosion of a balloon and the explosion of a firecracker. The first one is capable of generating a pressure transient in the 200-microsecond range, while the second can produce a pressure variation in the tens of microseconds. The thesis closes with a discussion on obtaining the frequency response of the tested sensors using the two methods, reaching the kHz range. In the absence of good references (theoretical or practical), the two presented methods are rather proof of concepts, as further work is required to completely evaluate their suitability.
