Résumé
[en] This paper presents the entire implementation of an inertial sensor system for armoured vehicles.
The inertial sensor system must be able to provide inclination measurements of the turret along two axes: the roll angle around the longitudinal axis (Y), and the pitch angle around the transverse axis (X). The sensor system must provide the pitch and roll measurements in a dynamic environment, i.e. being insensitive to non-gravity accelerations induced by the movements of the vehicle. An additional challenge is to deal with the eccentric position of the sensor inside the turret, leading to the conception of a calibration method to compensate the misalignment that can occur between the axes of the inertial sensor system and the axes of the turret.
