Résumé
[fr] The need for qualified personnel in healthcare, and particularly in the radiology sector is well documented in developing countries. The need for quality equipment is also to be met for proper care of patients.
The prohibitive costs of medical imaging equipment devices cause under-equipment of hospitals and health offices, increasing the risks of inadequate patient care. Additionally, the existing medical imaging devices suffer maintenance issues, especially in the long-term. Connecting non-governmental university, African diaspora, North University and industry is a tempting alternative to improve the current training and equipment supply programmes. Building a new curriculum enabling technologists in radiology with the capacity of performing high-quality examinations, subsequently differentiating normal from abnormal findings and to intervening in the event of minor or intermediate breakdowns on the devices emerge as a promising concept.
