Abstract
[fr] The final paper for the OpenBorders MBA program is entitled «How to execute efficiently project scopes through an international matrix organization. »
Industry Sector executes a contract for the supply of full process lines to a major Indian player of the Steel Industry. The scope of supply includes all the engineering, procurement, manufacturing, logistics, and commissioning activities that are distributed between the different entities of the Industry located all around the world (Belgium, India, Russia, USA). This scope distribution requires a clear scope split of all the activities between the entities which generates a high level of complexity to be covered, secured, and coordinated.
The document focuses on the identification and naming of problems, and aims to provide recommendations or solutions for their elimination during the execution of this large-scale project, which is realized by the analyzed business sector, organized in a matrix.
The final paper focuses to improve the organization and communication of project execution and focuses on issues impacting the executions of this case study project from the perspective of intercultural interaction in this international matrix organization
