Abstract
[en] This dissertation examines how The Telegraph and The Guardian covered the refugee crisis in 2015 through the analysis of metaphors with the aim of investigating whether the choice of metaphors is connected to the political orientation of the newspapers. Metaphors were chosen as the analytical tool for this study because of their potential for conveying ideology. Their analysis will allow us to see how they participated in the framing of the refugee crisis, which was generally negative in the media, and how they influenced the perception of this issue.
