Abstract
[en] Considering this coming economic crisis and its business management, this work is meant to show a new way of fundraising thanks to crowdfunding system. The purpose of this work is to define and present crowdfunding, to introduce the American and European legal frameworks in which it operates as well as the Belgian regulatory framework to which it must adapt and to show its flaws and key advantages. The comparison of various crowdfunding platforms in Europe and Belgium enhances this type of funding as an alternative for the younger generation and new values. Through various interviews and surveys, crowdfunding is seen in different ways as mixed and knowledge finance compared to bank loans and controlled finance which seems more reassuring for most potential borrowers. Can Banking and Crowdfunding find a reason of being compatible?
This research paper will attempt to find potential solutions in order to seek the answer to this question.
