Abstract
[fr] This thesis investigates another approach of ESG ratings system. The recent greatest interest for Environmental, Social and Governance issues led institutional investors to consider ESG criteria on their overall investment portfolio.
However, the lack of ESG data and adequate regulation calls into question the reliability of the ESG ratings attributed by the majority of data providers.
Considering this fact, this study put the emphasis on the asset class of Insurance company and more especially the invested asset class. The investment strategy of these companies regarding ESG issues represent the key role of the present ESG rating system.
