Fonds européens d'investissement à long terme : en route vers une croissance intelligente, durable et inclusive

Abstract

In the aftermath of the financial and economic crisis, the priority for the European commission is to restore sustained economic growth. However, a "smart, sustainable and inclusive" growth cannot be achieved without long-term financing. This precious resource is essential to encourage investments and build a more competitive economy. In this context, the European Commission decided to create the European long-term investment funds (ELTIF). This new investment fund vehicle has been designed to increase the amount of non-bank finance available for companies and long-term projects in order to boost the investments in the real economy. The aim of this work is to answer the following question: European long term investment funds, on the pathway for the growth?
