Abstract

[en] In order to follow the strategic decision of Brunswick group, Brunswick Marine in EMEA, will have to migrate its current system based on the AS/400 hardware to the ERP Microsoft Dynamics AX, in approximately four years. This migration will lead to a global project with impacts on the whole organization. Therefore, it is essential for BME to be prepared to successfully manage all the challenges linked to this project. The thesis will try to give an anticipative reflection on the essential sensitive aspects of this project, in order to help Brunswick Marine succeeding in this huge change.
Two missions can be identified in this thesis. On the one hand, a global mission concerning the whole project can be identified. In fact, lots of ERP migration projects failed because they are not considered as an organisational change which implies impacts on the whole organization. Tackling dimensions which can help BME to succeed in this project is essential if the organisation wants to take advantage from the new ERP system. The analysis will focus on ERP, Project Management in Information Systems and Risks Management. On the other hand, a specific mission is dedicated to the assessment of the order management process for migration to the Microsoft Dynamics AX process. The goal of this specific and technical mission is to describe the current order management process, identify gaps or sensitive aspects with Microsoft Dynamics AX standard process and give recommendations ensuring a smooth transition of this process as far as the technical aspect is concerned.
The conclusion will extract the essential results and recommendations discovered in the whole development in order to conclude with a global diagnostic of the project.
