Abstract
[en] In order to promote the independent energy supply and self-sufficiency of European villages, this study aims to simulate a micro-district in the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg in terms of energy supply and use, and thus to move towards self-sufficiency as much as possible. The production and consumption of heat and electricity were covered. To achieve this objective, several software packages were compared in order to choose the most appropriate one for the given task. Then, several scenarios were created in order to compare them in terms of respective self-sufficiency and life cycle costs. The discussion part of this work was then dedicated to make a justified decision on which scenario to implement.
