Abstract

[en] This study aims to accurately model the future Bolivian electricity system for 2026 and
anticipate challenges arising from the climate emergency. Three main objectives were pursued:
enhancing the Dispa-SET model to include hydro power cascade systems, modeling high re-
newable energy penetration scenarios, and analyzing the system’s performance under extreme
weather conditions.
