[en] Embarking on a journey of sustainability and innovation, this study presents a compelling business plan that focuses on recycling Tellurium, Gallium, and Germanium from first-generation solar panels. The motivation behind this endeavour arises from the booming recycling industry for first-generation solar photovoltaics and the growing demand for solar panels, coupled with the scarcity of essential resources. The primary objective of this initiative is to contribute to environmental conservation, resource preservation, and the promotion of clean energy adoption.
The core of this business plan is to establish a company with a cumulative turnover of 100 million euros within five years. The plan includes detailed investment requirements and growth projections for years 3, 4, and 5. By recycling these critical raw materials (CRMs) from first-generation solar panels, the venture seeks to address the environmental pressure while bolstering the sustainable supply of essential materials.This recycling effort primarily targets Tellurium, Gallium, and Germanium, which are essential components of first-generation solar panels.
My personal narrative interwoven with the business plan reflects a deep commitment to ethical innovation and a passion for materials science. Rooted in Belgium, with strategic access to the Antwerp harbour, this venture aims to revolutionise the recycling industry. By merging technology with conscience, it seeks to catalyse change by fostering partnerships and minimising environmental impact. This journey embodies the belief that ethical entrepreneurship can lead to a future where sustainability is not only a legacy but a living reality.
In summary, this business plan offers a comprehensive strategy for establishing a recycling venture that can contribute to a sustainable and environmentally conscious future, all while realising substantial economic growth. It represents a convergence of passion, innovation, and a profound commitment to making a positive impact on the world.
