Résumé

[en] In response to the complex supply chain challenges faced by Eurogentec, a leading contract development and manufacturing organization in the pharmaceutical industry, this thesis seeks to develop a robust pharmaceutical supply chain maturity model. Focused on improving visibility, coordination, inventory management, and supplier relationships, this model aims to strengthen Eurogentec's operational resilience, particularly during the disruptions caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. The research journey begins with a careful review of existing supply chain maturity models, culminating in the selection of the Lockamy Business Maturity Process Model (Lockamy & McCormack, 2004a), which was thoughtfully integrated with the SCOR model (Jalalvand et al., 2011) to fit Eurogentec's unique operational landscape. This customized approach, based on a dual-axis methodology, not only enriches the granularity, but also ensures the practical relevance and accuracy of the maturity assessments.
The customized model is thoroughly validated through the rigorous application of the Delphi method, which includes iterative expert consultations and structured questionnaires, ensuring its robustness and alignment with Eurogentec's strategic imperatives.
The resulting framework provides Eurogentec with a comprehensive tool for assessing its supply chain maturity across different segments, while providing valuable industry benchmarks for comparison and targeted improvement. The culmination of this meticulous research process, from model adaptation to expert validation, underscores the model's practical utility and strategic relevance.Future research efforts will expand the model's scope to include additional supply chain facets, validate its effectiveness across a broader range of pharmaceutical companies, and conduct longitudinal studies to monitor performance improvements over time.
In essence, this work represents a significant step forward in pharmaceutical supply chain management. By equipping Eurogentec and similar companies with a tailored maturity model, it promotes resilience and adaptability in navigating complex supply chain landscapes, setting a new standard for excellence in the ever-evolving pharmaceutical industry ecosystem.
