Abstract

[fr] Artificial intelligence is playing an increasingly significant role in our society, transforming how
organizations operate and introducing new challenges, particularly in the financial sector. In this context, I built a framework based on a literature review to define key items that were then used to conduct a
qualitative analysis to understand how leaders manage the integration of these new technologies,
focusing specifically on the financial sector in Luxembourg.
To achieve this, I interviewed eight companies, equally divided into two key sectors: four in auditing and four in investment. This approach allowed me to compare the strategies adopted, the challenges
encountered, and the solutions implemented based on the specificities of each sector. My objective was to explore not only how these leaders navigate the technological, ethical, and organizational challenges
associated with AI but also how they foster cultures of innovation and meet regulatory and societal
expectations.
The results of the analysis together with the literature survey, highlight the pivotal role of leaders in
integrating AI into the financial sector, addressing challenges such as GDPR compliance, employee
training, and organizational transformation. Some leaders adopt a transformational leadership style,
promoting innovation and tolerance for failure, while others prefer a cautious approach with pilot
projects. Ethical management, transparency, and human oversight of automated decisions are crucial for building trust and minimizing bias. An adaptive leadership approach, combining strategic vision,
innovation, and constraint management, is essential for the successful adoption of AI.
