Abstract

[en] This master thesis proposes several key enhancements to Coexpair's Contract Review process to mitigate contractual risks and improve overall efficiency. The core focus is on shifting towards a more systematic and collaborative approach. This involves increasing team involvement through targeted training, particularly on Intellectual Property, and clarifying the roles and responsibilities of personnel, especially Project Managers and Program Managers, within Contract Management. To support this, a new framework and updated procedures, including checklists for order confirmation and General Terms & Conditions review, are suggested for implementation. These changes aim to ensure that contractual risks are properly identified, assessed, and communicated throughout the organization.
Ultimately, these improvements seek to create a more robust Contract Management system at Coexpair. By empowering employees with the necessary knowledge and tools, and by streamlining processes, the organization can reduce its exposure to contractual risks. While acknowledging the challenges of resource constraints that limit full-scale contract analysis during the quotation phase or for smaller contracts, the proposed changes lay the groundwork for a more proactive and effective approach to contract handling, leading to better contract execution and stronger business practices.
Improving the Contract Review process at Coexpair is essential for mitigating risks and ensuring the company's growth and sustainability. By addressing the identified challenges and by implementing the proposed recommendations, Coexpair can enhance its Contract Management practices, safeguard its Intellectual Property, and maintain its competitive edge in the aerospace market.
