Abstract

[en] This thesis explores the impact of Exchange-Traded Funds (ETFs) on the saving and investment habits of young adults, with a particular focus on finance students at HEC Liège. By examining how this financially literate demographic perceives, understands, and potentially uses ETFs, the study seeks to identify the role these instruments play in shaping modern personal finance strategies. Through a structured questionnaire, the research investigates factors such as financial literacy, risk attitudes, and access to digital investment platforms. The analysis also considers the broader implications of ETF adoption on financial education and inclusion among younger generations. This work contributes to a better understanding of the relationship between financial innovation and investor behavior within the context of Francophone Europe.
