Abstract
[en] E (Compagnie Intercommunale Liégeoise des Eaux) produces water by ground extraction and distributes it through pipes and aqueducts. The company aims to reduce its energy consumption to improve its carbon footprint and lower expenses. The CILE has a large amount of water flowing at different pressure levels and flow rates, as well as a substantial water storage system. The first idea to optimize energy consumption is to recover it from the water. This master’s thesis aims to identify smart technologies that can optimize energy consumption at the CILE site with the highest energy demand.
