Abstract

[en] In this paper, we study head echoes in BRAMS data, investigate their visibility and explore how they can be used in order to determine the velocity of a fireball using FRIPON trajectory data. These objectives were achieved by using the PyBRAMS library, which was partially modified in this work. In addition, new code was developed to implement a new method using spectrogram image analysis. Specular reflexion points were employed to explain the visibility of head echoes. Predicted fireball velocities show good agreement with the information available from the FRIPON optical observations.
