Abstract

[en] This thesis explores the factors influencing electric vehicle (EV) adoption in urban areas, focusing on Germany and Belgium. Guided by the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) and the Diffusion of Innovations (DoI) theory, the study examines how perceptions of usefulness, ease of use, compatibility, and relative advantage affect adoption decisions. Using qualitative semi-structured interviews, supported by thematic analysis and supplementary LinkedIn polls, the research identifies key barriers and motivators.
