Abstract
[en] This master's thesis surveys various tools for studying bifurcation problems in a functional-analytic setting. We first present purely analytical methods, before turning to singularity theory to gain a better understanding of the local geometry of bifurcations. We then introduce a topological degree in order to obtain global bifurcation results. Finally, we conclude with an introduction to dynamical bifurcations.
