Abstract
[en] In any hospital, laundry is an important issue that involves significant costs.
Hospital linen includes bedding and working clothes. Consequently, this concerns both patients and nursing staff.
The Centre Hospitalier Bois de l’Abbaye is about to purchase a new clothing vending machine, to enter into a new contract with a healthcare laundry facility and to buy new work clothes for nursing staff.
In this context, CHBA encounters an opportunity to reorganize and enhance laundry management.
The aim of this project-thesis is, through data and cost analyses, to make recommendations regarding:
- The vending machine’s capacity;
- The purchase or lease of linen;
- The purchase or lease of work clothes;
- The inventory management of linen.
