Abstract

Joskin is a group that sells and produces agricultural machinery. What started as a small family business is now an international group. You can see machines branded Joskin criss-crossing the countryside all over Europe and in many regions of the world. In just 50 years they evolved and grew to reach a turnover of €100M for four commercial companies and five production sites in Belgium, France and Poland. Following this expansion, the group wishes to upgrade their anagement control. The aim of this project is the implementation of a business intelligence solution designed to assist management control using the softwares from the BusinessObjects range from SAP. The dashboard and reporting system thereby implemented on Web Intelligence aims at allowing the direction of the Joskin group and the different decision-makers to perceive the situation of the organisation at a given point in time and to draw conclusions regarding the available indicators. This enhances control management as you can only manage what you can measure. In these periods of unstable context and of volume of data always growing, knowledge is key to a proper management of the organisation. Data-driven decisions impact the business positively with increased turnover, customer experience and innovation. « If you can't measure it, you can't improve it. »
