Abstract
[en] Nowadays, women equality in the workplace is a hot topic and it interests a lot of different economic actors. The women employment rate is increasing but the female employees often have low power and are not part of the decision-making process. Nevertheless, the change towards gender equality in top management positions is underway. The states and different organisations are putting policies in place with the aim of improving the situation.
In this thesis, the focus is put on the career of women in the public sector in Belgium and more specifically on their evolution in the tax and financial administration. This study analyses the place of women in this organisation and tries to determine how to improve the policies in favour of gender equality according to the audit of the situation.
