Abstract
[en] As we entered in a new digital era, algorithms step into the spotlight. Unlike the evolution of robotics, which reinforces the consequences of industrialization, artificial intelligence represents a big change for the labour market.
The main objective of this present research is the study of the impact of new information and communication technologies, artificial intelligence as well as robots on the job market. Since these concepts can be fuzzy we will begin with a historical presentation. We will then define them, which can represent a real challenge.
Afterwards, we will move on to an economic analysis. We will present the effects of the evolution of the technologies on the economic world. Although the rivalry between men and machines exist since the Industrial Revolution, it is rather new for some professions.
The question which drives our approach is to evaluate the consequence of these technologies on the global economy. In order to do this, we present the pros and cons regarding these evolutions.
Indeed, we will realize that economists do not agree with each other on whether or not it will lead to a reduction or augmentation in employment. As a result, the idea of a possible taxation on robots and a universal income will arise.
