Résumé
[en] Nowadays, every business line is facing the phenomenon of globalization, the intensification of competition as well as the increase of transportation costs. These trends reinforce the popularity of Supply Chain Management. The traditional supply chain with the aim of pushing products and services towards the customer is no longer sufficient. The Supply Chain Management must be now at the heart of operational strategy if companies with sizable distribution networks want to survive.
This thesis aims to improve the management and control of flows within the supply chain of the international group active in automotive replacement glazing, Saint-Gobain Autover. This is translated by the design of a distribution network optimization tool. The first step of this project intends to analyze the logistics chain of the group and the scope of the project. Moreover, the paper exposes a generic mathematical model for the integer linear programming problem representing the optimization of flows within a distribution network. This model can be used as a basis for the construction of any mathematical model which aims to optimize flows. However, it requires some adjustments depending on the network to which it is applied. Therefore, the mathematical model specific to Saint-Gobain Autover's logistics chain on which the tool is built is also described. Finally, the section dedicated to the results reveals the economic interest of the optimization for Saint-Gobain Autover as well as the logistics impact of some strategic decisions regarding the logistics network according to the tool.
