Abstract
[en] This thesis examines the place video games occupy in Japanese culture. The hypothesis is, that video games were an important tool, which started the exporting of Japanese culture on a bigger scale. This has led to them being one of the pillars to Japan’s cultural identity, promoted to the rest of the world.
