Résumé
[en] Talking to the owners of family-owned SMEs, it often appears that most of them have no clear strategy defined. The tenor is most of the time that strategy is something for bigger groups and organizations.
The aim of the present study is to set up and to explain a strategy process that is workable for SMEs. This strategy process is based on existing and proven concepts. In the conceptual part, the strategy process is outlined and the chosen concepts are explained. The concepts include concepts for the internal and external analysis as well as concepts to conclude the strategy based on the analytical part.
In a second step, the chosen concepts are applied to the family-owned SME ATS Rauw and a corporate strategy is defined based on the analysis that has been executed.
The study shall be an inspiration for other SMEs and motivate them to dig into the material of strategy definition.
