Abstract

[en] Companies aim to satisfy the expectations of their customers. This also takes into account a top quality in the product or service sold.
To achieve this, CooperVision has decided to set up a department (called “Rework Area”) to which orders requiring repair are sent. However, there is no illusion to have; double handling on a single order reduces the expected profit margin and leads to the hiring of additional staff.
In this environment, this project thesis consists of analyzing the flow of orders transiting through the Rework Area and proposing improvements to the problems encountered. This project thesis will then address the various problems causing this flow of orders and the possible solutions to them.
On top of that, this project thesis will try to develop a quality tool. This will allow to highlight the various causes of the flow of orders passing through the Rework Area but also to identify the department(s) having the greatest impact.
