Abstract
[en] Internet of things and digital services are part of our everyday lives pushing devicesand sensors manufacturers to render their products connected and capable of pro-viding insightful data. This work will focus on the particular case of BEA s.a., aworld leader in motion and presence detectors for automatic pedestrian and indus-trial doors that launched its first connected product in 2018; but the vast majorityof the sensors produced by BEA as of today remain unreachable due to basic relayinteractions with doors providing no insight from the field. Being able to retrievedata from a product to include it in a BI could provide a good picture of the currentsituation over the product’s market and help at different decision-making levels inthe sales, marketing, technical support, and R&D departments.
