Abstract
[en] This dissertation focuses on the different uses that one can make of video in the foreign language classroom; video as input, video for learners' output, teacher-created video, video to assess learners' oral production, video to self-evaluate teaching and video as a conference tool. All the uses of video are investigated on the basis of an extensive review of the existent literature on the topics concerned. Then, the uses of video in official documents in Belgium (frameworks of references and teaching curricula) are also presented. Finally, the actual practices of teachers from the French-speaking part of Belgium are analysed on the basis of the data collected through an online survey. The last chapter of the dissertation provides the reader with guidelines to implement the various uses of video in their classrooms.
