Abstract
[en] One of the phases that play a crucial role in the Wind Turbines’ installation is the Load out. Several problems can occur in this process and affect the project to different degrees. To prevent and reduce these risks, the industry tries to develop safer and cheaper methods for loading out, one of the methodologies used is the use of semisubmersible barges. For this project a simple flat top barge with shape adapted to triangular semisubmersible floating wind turbine will be studies, with a reaction arm methodology to perform a faster and more economical operation compared to actual semisubmersible vessel methodology.
First, research on the challenges, restrictions and resources is done. The factors that influence the load out process and the methodology of the present study are determined with the help of the experience of the CORE MARINE company. Further, they are analysed in detail, for a better assessment of the situation. Based on the previous research and considering the environment that the process shall take place into, a basic dimensioning of the Semisubmersible Launching Platform is done.
Analysis of the stability and of the load conditions are then started. For the ballasting of the structure, calculations and graphs of the evolutions shall be presented as well. Further, the load out procedures are analysed and proceed with the proper scantling with respect to the results of all the previous analysis.
