Abstract
[en] We are in 2016 and it is imperative to find solutions to these three following challenges: the growing scarcity of metal raw materials, global warming and population growth. I decided to focus my research on automobile manufacturers because they are facing the three challenges. If they want to continue their activities, sustain the economy and the environment, they have to take it into account no matter the cost. I have decided to carry out an analysis of the recycling system in Belgium. I concluded that the current business model is based on an open loop supply chain. New upgrades have been found in the end-life and during the design stage of a car. These improvements are presented in this research-thesis to try to create a closed loop supply chain according to the circular economy.
