Abstract
[en] This work aimed to analyse the historical and cultural representations related to the Edo period within the video game Hakuōki. Using a framework based on the work of Fanny Barnabé, elements from the game were examined as vehicles of narrative and historical concepts. This led to an analysis of various aspects such as gender portrayal, authenticity and accuracy, and cultural depictions in-game, and their historical counterparts.
